Drunk soldier attacks nurse in Pasay City
MANILA, Philippines - A member of the Armed Forces of the Philippines is facing administrative charges for reportedly attacking a nurse in Pasay City, a police official said.
In his report, SPO1 Joel Landicho said one Katrina Labrusca reported to the police that a certain Sgt. Marlon Batoon had attacked her vehicle along Road 2 in Newport City, Barangay Villamor, Pasay City at around 9 p.m. on June 3.
The report said Labrusca and her two companions were cruising along Road 2 in a red Honda City when Batoon, assigned at the 300th Intelligence Security Group of the Philippine Air Force, allegedly blocked their path “for no apparent reason.”
Batoon also allegedly hit the window of the vehicle with his bare hands and punched the security guard who arrived at the scene to help the victims.
The suspect was brought to Pasay City police’s Station Investigation and Detective Management Section and could have faced unjust vexation and physical injuries charges. However, Landicho said the victims decided not to push through with the complaint and the case was settled amicably.
While cleared of criminal charges, he said Batoon is still facing administrative charges before the military.
