Nursing graduate found dead in boarding house
MANILA, Philippines - A 20-year-old nursing graduate was found dead inside a boarding house in Sampaloc, Manila yesterday morning.
Police said Kaydee Fernando, who was from Pampanga but was living in a boarding house on Instruccion corner Dapitan streets in Sampaloc, was reviewing for the nursing board exams in Manila when he died.
Case investigator PO2 Gerry Amores said one of the residents in the boarding house, Richard Calvin Madayag, discovered Fernando’s body and immediately informed the landlady Ligaya Santos, who in turn reported the incident to the police.
Amores said Fernando’s body had no external body injuries but blood was oozing from his nose when it was discovered
Investigations showed that on the night the victim died, he had an argument via text messages with his board mate John Mark del Rosario, who told police that when he arrived that night at the boarding house he did not notice anything unusual and Fernando was already sound asleep in his room.
Fernando’s relatives told police the victim was physically healthy and was not suffering from any illness at the time of his death.
The police placed the case under further investigation and said an autopsy will determine the exact cause of death.
