MANILA, Philippines - The local election officers in the cities of Pasay and Las Piñas have yet to declare the winners as of yesterday afternoon.
In Las Piñas, based on a tally done at 5 p.m., Nationalista Party bet Mayor Vergel Aguilar garnered 141,579 votes against Liberal Party mayoral bet Felix Sinajon, who earned 6,759 votes.
Aguilar’s running mate, Louie Bustamante gained 122,630 votes while independent bet Benjamin Gonzales garnered 16,413 votes.
In Pasay City, out of 370 precincts, 309 have been canvassed and this reportedly represents 83.51 percent of the total votes cast.
Lakas mayoral bet Vice Mayor Antonino Calixto led the pack with 49,633 votes followed by Pwersa ng Masang Pilipino (PMP) candidate Connie Dy with 49,633 votes. Incumbent Mayor Wenceslao Trinidad of the Nationalista Party came in third with 38,830.
In the city’s vice mayoralty race, PMP’s Marlon Pasabre led by almost 20 percent after earning 47,462 votes.
