Biazon wins vs Puno in Muntinlupa

MANILA, Philippines - Former senator Rodolfo Biazon won against broadcaster Ricardo Puno Jr. in the congressional race in Muntinlupa City.

Figures from the local Commission on Elections (Comelec) office showed that Biazon earned 78,553 votes followed by Puno, who garnered 46,486 votes.

Re-electionist Mayor Aldrin San Pedro was declared winner with 107,498 votes while rival Jaime Fresnedi earned 76,366 votes. Another mayoral candidate, Oscar Mamerto, landed in third place with 593 votes.

San Pedro’s running mate, Artemio Simundac received 89,873 votes, while his rival, Marissa Rongavilla, garnered 77,140.

The proclamation of the winning candidates was held yesterday afternoon at the People’s Center building near the city hall.
