MANILA, Philippines - A bus that allegedly spun out of control killed a college student waiting for a ride to school and slammed into a sari-sari store before hitting an electric meter base post yesterday in Quezon City.
Quezon City Traffic Enforcement Unit chief Superintendent Rudie Valmoria said Reynaldo Angelo Olano, 19, was standing on the side of the road along Quirino Highway when he was sideswiped by a bus (PYG-830) driven by Augusto Sales, 35, at around 6 a.m. yesterday.
The bus then slammed into a store owned by Rocel de Guzman, 25, who filed a complaint against Sales for damage to property, then stopped when it hit an electric meter base.
A case of reckless imprudence resulting in homicide and damage to property has been filed against Sales.
