3 hurt as car hits motorbike

-

MANILA, Philippines - Three people, including a seven-year-old boy, were hurt when a car hit the motorcycle they were riding in Barangay Manuyo Dos, Las Piñas City Friday morning.

Senior Superintendent Amado Clifton Empiso, Las Piñas police chief, identified the boy as Cyrus Garcia, 7. Other reports identified his companions as couple Daniel Caneza, who was driving the motorcycle; and his wife, Manilyn.

Initial investigation showed that at about 10:30 a.m., the three victims were passing through R. de Leon street in Gatchalian Subdivision, when their motorcycle was hit by a Toyota Avanza driven by Rolando Santos, a telecommunications firm employee.

The victims, who suffered wounds and bruises, were brought to a nearby hospital.

Empiso said the victims expressed willingness to settle the matter with Santos, who was reportedly overspeeding.   Rhodina Villanueva
