Spa workers charged for stealing from client
MANILA, Philippines - Two employees of a spa in Quezon City were charged with theft yesterday for allegedly breaking into a client’s rented locker and stealing P12,000 from his wallet.
Senior Police Officer 2 Jorge Villanueva said information technology expert Montgomery Fajardo, 29, filed charges against Wensha Spa operations supervisor Sheryl Dimapilis, 31, and locker attendant Kenken Monterubio, 23.
Fajardo said he went to his locker after enjoying the services of the spa and found his wallet missing at around 4 a.m. He reported it to the officers in charge of the spa.
He said he decided to file charges against Dimapilis and Monterubio after they recovered the wallet in the spa but failed to produce the money. Dimapilis and Monterubio allegedly could not explain how the theft happened. – Jerry Botial
