Skyway to close South Station exit

MANILA, Philippines - Tollway operator Skyway O&M Corp. (SOMCO) announced yesterday that all the lanes at its Alabang’s South Station exit plaza will be closed for around one month starting at 10 p.m. on March 3.

This will allow Skyway contractor DMCI to widen the South Station roadway and construct the Stage 2 Alabang on and off ramps. Motorists going to the business, commercial and residential centers in Alabang or Las Piñas can use the Filinvest or Alabang Southbound exits.

Ed Nepomuceno, SOMCO’s head of special operations and projects, said the closure will allow DMCI to complete the Skyway Stage 2 project faster.

The Skyway Stage 2 project involves the extension of the Skyway’s elevated toll road from Bicutan to Alabang.
