Call center agent loses laptop to robbers

MANILA, Philippines - A male call center agent was robbed of a laptop worth P100,000 while playing with the gadget in front of Pasay City hall early morning yesterday.

Case investigator Police Officer 3 Ronaldo David identified the victim as Allan Torrente, 30, of Donada, Barangay 36, Zone 3, Pasay City.

David said Torrente was using the laptop he borrowed from a friend and sat along the sidewalk in front of the barangay hall at about 4:30 a.m. when a colored maroon car with license plate XME-680 passed by.

Minutes later, the same vehicle returned and two armed men alighted, pointed a gun at the victim and asked for the laptop. The men immediately boarded their vehicle and sped off towards   Buendia Avenue.

Police are conducting a follow-up operation to track down the suspects.   – Rhodina Villanueva
