Mandaluyong celebrates 16th year as city

MANILA, Philippines - Mandaluyong is scheduled to celebrate its 16th year as a city tomorrow and city police will reroute traffic on major streets to give way to festivities.

Mandaluyong police chief Senior Superintendent Carlos de Sagun said the stretch of Kalentong street from Acacia Lane to Shaw Boulevard will be closed to traffic between 2 p.m. and 6 p.m. The Maysilo Circle, where the City Hall building is located, will be closed to traffic between 1 p.m. and 12 a.m.

He added that Haig street, going to Kalentong street, would be a one-way traffic road from 12 noon to 5 p.m. – Non Alquitran
