BI deports 2 Germans

-

MANILA, Philippines - The Bureau of Immigration (BI) deported last week two German nationals reportedly wanted for serious crimes in their native country and for being undocumented aliens.

In a statement, Commissioner Marcelino Libanan said BI agents arrested Peter Uwe Muller, 45, and Joachim Heimrath, 58, based on a request from the German embassy in Manila.

BI deportation unit head Antonio Rivera said the two men boarded Royal Dutch Airlines bound for Frankfurt, with a stopover in Amsterdam, Holland.

Mueller is wanted to stand trial before a Frankfurt court for multiple counts of massive fraudulent Internet trading while Heimrath is wanted for an undisclosed crime he allegedly committed 20 years ago.

The Germans were undocumented aliens at the time of their arrest as their passports have been revoked by the German government. – Evelyn Macairan
