MANILA, Philippines - A man who often stayed out late to watch others play computer games allegedly stabbed a computer shop owner for shooing him out of his shop in Malabon City Saturday night.
Chief Inspector Realito Esperida, Malabon City police intelligence and investigation chief, said shop owner Israel Don Palomares, 31, is still confined at the Manila Central University (MCU) Hospital for stab wounds in different parts of the body.
The suspect, Orlando Legaspi, alias “Doc,” a resident of Barangay Potrero, remains at large.
Police said that at around 10:40 p.m., Palomares sent Legaspi out of his computer shop along Rimas Road in Barangay Potrero for staying late just watching games. This offended Legaspi, who engaged Palomares in a heated argument.
Legaspi left, but allegedly returned armed with an ice pick and attacked Palomares from behind while the latter was cleaning one of his computers.
The suspect quickly fled after the stabbing.
