Quezon City senior citizens to have special poll booths

-

MANILA, Philippines - The Quezon City government will set up special voting booths on the ground floor of all polling places for senior citizens and the disabled during the May elections.

The city government has been promoting the welfare of the elderly, estimated to be over 100,000, across the city.

In October last year, Mayor Feliciano Belmonte Jr. led city officials in paying tribute to nine centenarians, the oldest of whom is Susana Druedo at 105 years old. They were given gifts and recognition. – Perseus Echeminada
