MANILA, Philippines - A 65-year-old man died when a speeding car hit him as he was crossing the Coastal Road in Las Piñas City Sunday night.
Police investigators said Francisco Umayan, a resident of Villacoastal, Barangay Daniel Fajardo, in Las Piñas City, died on the way to the Our Lady of Peace Hospital.
Police said motorist Christopher Sisma was on his way to Manila when he hit the victim at around 7:30 p.m. He told police the area was not well-lit and he did not clearly see Umayan crossing the street. – Rhodina Villanueva
