3 drug suspects arrested in Malabon

MANILA, Philippines - Police nabbed three alleged pushers during a buy-bust operation in Malabon City Thursday.

Chief Inspector Jay Esteban Agcaoili, chief of the Northern Police District anti-illegal drugs division, identified the suspects as Armin Palomo, 32; Allan Sese, 21; and Ivan Magmayo, 44, all residents of Barangay Longos in Malabon City.

The suspects were arrested at an alley on Block 12, Phase 2, Area 3 in Barangay Longos by a team led by Senior Police Officer 1 Jonathan Taguba at around 5:30 p.m.

PO2 Ariosto Rana said the suspects were apprehended after a weeklong surveillance operation. Magmayo allegedly received the P500 marked money from a police officer who posed as a buyer, Palomo handed the sachet of a substance suspected to be shabu (methamphetamine hydrochloride) to the buyer, Sese served as the group’s lookout.

Rana said Magmayo yielded the buy-bust money while another sachet was seized from Palomo.   – Pete Laude
