NBI pasok sa terorismo

MANILA, Philippines - Nakatutok ang National Bureau of Investigation-Counter Terrorism Unit sa Mindanao na kadalasang target ng mga terorista.

Sinimulan na umano ng NBI ang pagsasailalim sa seminars at lectures sa Mindanao ng kanilang mga operatiba at imbestigador upang makatiyak na handa silang harapin ang mga pagpapasabog ng bomba na itinatanim sa lugar at may sapat ding kaalaman sa imbestigasyon.

“We are holding seminars for our agents, operatives and investigators there. Mindanao is usually the target of ter­rorism like in Davao, General Santos, Cotabato, Zam­boanga. So we have to bring our focus there. This is a serious matter,” ani Ric Diaz, tagapagsalita ng NBI.

Bukod sa Mindanao, nag­daraos din sila ng seminars at lectures sa mga ahente ng NBI, imbestigador at opera­tiba sa bahagi ng Cebu, Visayas at National Capital Region (NCR).

Bahagi umano ito ng tri-border police and prosecutor international program, kung saan kaanib ng Pilipinas ang Malaysia at Indonesia, sa kampanya ng Federal Bu­reau of Investigation (FBI) na ga­ganapin sa susunod na buwan sa Estados Unidos, laban sa malawakang tero­rismo.

Apat mula sa Pilipinas ang delegado na dadalo sa Tri-Border Police and Pro­secutor International Visitor’s Program (IVP)sa Nobyembre 2-13, 2009. Isa si Diaz, dalawa mula sa PNP officials at isang prosecutor. (Ludy Bermudo)
