Lim commends City Hall staff

MANILA, Philippines - Manila Mayor Alfredo Lim led the awarding of the city service loyalty awards for the year 2009 held at the Bulwagang Antonio Villegas yesterday morning.

The city service loyalty award is one of the awards given to city officials and employees in the career service in the city government of Manila who have rendered continuous and satisfactory service.

The city personnel office headed by officer-in-charge Assumption Ingrid Reyes said the award aims to motivate and inspire city employees through rewards and recognition in the form of incentives to city officials and employees. 

It has only been under the stewardship of Lim that city service loyalty awardees are given such recognitions and cash incentives. 

A total of 189 City Hall awardees were given a plaque coming from various city departments and offices and witnessed by Chief-of-Staff Ricardo de Guzman, Secretary to the mayor Rafaelito Garayblas, city legal officer and concurrent city administrator lawyer Renato dela Cruz, city prosecutor lawyer Jhosep Lopez and other department heads. Among the department heads awarded for their 30 and 20 years of service were city health officer Marie Lorraine Sanchez and Vicky Valientes of the City Treasurer’s office, respectively.        – Sandy Araneta
