Supreme Court cancels hearings in Ondoy-affected areas

MANILA, Philippines - The Supreme Court (SC) has ordered the suspension of hearings in courts set today in the cities of Pasig and Marikina and the entire Region 4 due to damages brought by typhoon Ondoy over the weekend.

SC spokesman Jose Midas Marquez said the court will issue further announcements today on when hearings would resume.

He said executive judges in all flood-affected areas are required to report to the Office of the Court Administrator today the conditions in their areas of jurisdiction. – Edu Punay
