Woman's body found near MMDA pump station
MANILA, Philippines – The body of a naked woman was found lying near the MMDA pumping station in Pasay City yesterday morning.
Senior Superintendent Raul Petrasanta, Pasay police chief, said the body of the woman who is said to be mentally disturbed, was found sprawled on heaps of rock and stones near the MMDA’s flood control project that is in front of the HK Sun Plaza complex along Diosdado Macapagal Boulevard. The victim who was between 35 to 40 years old, was last seen alive by Lolita Cajarion, 27, and a member of the Pasay Oyster a few hours before the body was discovered around 11 a.m.
Petrasanta said the victim could have been sick and suddenly collapsed since the body did not bore any sign of injuries. However, police investigators led by Senior Police Officer 1 Rodel Torres said the head sustained fractures and could have been hit by something hard. A seashell has also been reportedly forced into the victim’s private part. — Rhodina Villanueva
