Caloocan joins Iglesia ni Cristo's mourning

MANILA, Philippines - Caloocan City Mayor Enrico Echiverri and the City Council joined the entire nation in extending condolences and prayers to the family and members of the Iglesia ni Cristo following the death of INC’s executive minister Eraño “Ka Erdy” Manalo.

“After my family and I learned of his passing away on Monday afternoon, we were deeply saddened and would like to express our prayerful condolences to his bereaved family and the INC community,” Echiverri said. During Tuesday’s Sangguniang Panlungsod session, the city councilors held a moment of silence to pay their respects to the late INC leader. “The members of the Sangguniang Panlungsod salute a true leader. We extend our heartfelt sympathies to all INC faithful with Ka Erdy’s passing. Mr. Manalo’s memories, his legacies, will forever be enshrined in the hearts of Caloocan residents,” the councilors said in a statement. – Pete Laude
