MMDA suspends 'coding' today

-

MANILA, Philippines - Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) Chairman Bayani Fernando ordered yesterday the suspension of the Unified Vehicle Volume Reduction Program or number coding scheme today.

He said this will allow motorists to use their vehicles to avoid roads that have been closed for President Arroyo’s last State of the Nation Address (SONA) at the Batasan Pambansa complex in Quezon City and the Iglesia ni Cristo’s 95th anniversary celebration at the Rizal Memorial Coliseum in Malate, Manila and the Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City. – Jose Rodel Clapano
