Muntinlupa creates medical teams to monitor A(H1N1)

-

MANILA, Philippines - The Muntinlupa City government has created several medical teams that will check and monitor the health condition of residents who may possibly be affected by Influenza A(H1N1), dengue and the common flu that are prevalent during the rainy season.

Edilinda Patac of the city health department said the move is in line with Mayor Aldrin San Pedro’s program to provide for the needs of his constituents including health concerns. “The medical teams will greatly help in providing immediate response to the health needs of communities,” Patac said.

For its part, the Sanitation Division headed the conduct of a preventive fogging operation and entomological survey at different public elementary and high schools in the city. School inspection were also done, and information was disseminated through the holding of A(H1N1) symposium.   – Rhodina Villanueva
