Neighbors rob, rape nurse in Caloocan

MANILA, Philippines - A 27-year-old nurse was robbed and molested by two men, apparently her neighbors, in Dagat-Dagatan, Caloocan City yesterday.

The victim was robbed of her P1,500 cash and two cellphones worth some P7,000.

One of the two suspects, identified as Bobby Cabuang, 22, a resident of Purok 3, Kawal street in Dagat-Dagatan, was arrested by the city police and barangay watchmen shortly after the attack. Cabuang’s companion remains at large.

After divesting the victim of her valuables, the two men dragged her to a dark alley and molested her at knifepoint.

Senior Police Officer 1 Antonio Paras said charges of robbery with rape are being readied against the suspects. – Jerry Botial
