Baron Geisler sued again for acts of lasciviousness

- Bebot Sison Jr., Cecille Suerte Felipe -

MANILA, Philippines - Actress Yasmien Kurdi filed acts of lasciviousness charges yesterday against actor Baron Geisler, accusing him of taking advantage of her during a taping of their soap opera.

Geisler is facing similar charges filed by Patricia Martinez, a daughter of actors William Martinez and Yayo Aguila.

Kurdi, 20, sought the assistance of the Philippine National Police (PNP) Women and Children’s Concerns Office under Chief Superintendent Yolanda Tanigue at Camp Crame.

Kurdi, assisted by lawyer Ferdinand Topacio, said there were at least five instances that Geisler harassed her. The incidents took place somewhere in Bulacan.

“There were several occasions that Geisler said statements with sexual innuendoes to my client and touched her in an inappropriate manner. It is obvious that Geisler is a sick person,” Topacio said.

“Five instances, consistent, persistent, shows a pattern… My client even punched him in one instance,” he added.

Topacio added that series of incidents took place last May 21, or two days after Kurdi and Geisler were introduced to each other in preparation for their soap opera. He clarified that Kurdi and Geisler never had a relationship.

“The acts constitute acts of lasciviousness, and Geisler even texted my client that he desires her, and I will present this when the need arises,” he said.

Topacio said Kurdi is now afraid of working with Geisler, and if he continues to harass her, he would seek court intervention to prevent the actor from getting near his client.

Tanigue said she is willing to provide Kurdi with security personnel, adding that WACCO will refer the case to the prosecutor’s office that has jurisdiction on the place of the incident.
