PDEA nabs Navotas' most wanted drug suspect

-

MANILA, Philippines - The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) announced yesterday the arrest of Navotas’ most wanted drug pusher in an entrapment operation over the weekend.

Gregorio “Gerry” Roldan, alias “Palaboy”, 43, was collared in a buy-bust operation at around 6:30 p.m. Saturday by agents of the Complaint and Reaction Unit (CRU) under Maj. Valentino Lopez along the vicinity of H. Lopez Boulevard in Tondo, Manila.

PDEA director general Dionisio Santiago said Roldan was caught selling five grams of shabu to an agent who acted as a buyer. He added that another five grams of shabu was found concealed inside the compartment of Roldan’s Yamaha Mio motorcycle.

Santiago, lauding his men for the arrest, said Roldan is included in the PDEA’s target list in its Operation Plan Robin Hood.

Santiago said Roldan’s arrest came just before the signing of a memorandum of agreement between the PDEA and the local government of Navotas City yesterday to intensify anti-drug efforts by revitalizing the Navotas Anti-Drug Abuse Council.   – Michael Punongbayan
