Traffic rerouted for anti-drug march today

MANILA, Philippines - The stretch of Roxas Boulevard from Gil Puyat Avenue to Katigbak Drive in Rizal Park shall be closed to traffic today from 9 a.m. onwards to give way to the Grand Batang Iwas Droga (BIDA).

Organizers aim to set a new record in the Guinness Book of World Records for the world’s largest march against illegal drugs.

Traffic officials said all vehicles coming from the northern part of Manila should turn left on P. Burgos, right on Ma. Orosa, right on T.M. Kalaw, left on M.H. del Pilar, left on Quirino Avenue, right on Mabini, or go straight to Taft Avenue.

All vehicles coming from the south should turn right on Quirino Avenue.

All vehicles coming from Cavite and Las Piñas via Roxas Boulevard or Macapagal Boulevard shall turn right on Gil Puyat.     – Nestor Etolle
