MANILA, Philippines - A security guard was charged with rape and grave coercion before the Manila regional trial court yesterday for allegedly forcing a woman to have sex with her boyfriend inside the Rizal Park security office two years ago, and then taking turns with another guard in raping her.
Assistant City Prosecutor Maria Cielo Rubi Galicia, recommended no bail for Eliazar Galin, 26.
The other security guard, Rolando Arizobal, 29, who also allegedly raped the woman, was charged in court last year.
Court records show Galin picked up the woman and her 21-year-old boyfriend and brought them to the security office after he caught them sleeping at the park grounds at dawn on April 9, 2007.
At the security office, Galin allegedly stripped the couple naked and ordered them to have sex while standing, with the man pressing the woman’s body against the wall.
After watching the couple’s performance, Galin allegedly pushed the woman onto a bench and forced himself on her as Arizobal dragged away her boyfriend.
When Galin was done, Arizobal raped her while Galin held back her boyfriend. – Sandy Araneta
