Speeding truck kills call center agent

MANILA, Philippines - A 24-year-old call center agent died on the spot after she was hit by a speeding tractor head – a truck that has a cab but no body – of a freight forwarding company in Parañaque City early yesterday.
Initial police reports state that Regelin Degala was crossing Dr. A. Santos Avenue (formerly known as Sucat Road) when the tractor head (RHK-248) of Air 21, driven by Nicanor Ebona Jr., struck her. Ebona, 26, surrendered to the Parañaque City police, who said he has yet to submit his affidavit. – Mike Frialde
