Nine-year-old boy found disemboweled

MANILA, Philippines - A nine-year-old boy was found dead and disemboweled at a vacant lot in Las Piñas, and police said they are eyeing a gay man as a possible suspect.

Investigator Police Officer 3 Eduardo Rodaje said the victim was found naked from the waist down.

“The suspect even hid the boy’s body over a pile of grass,” he said.

A 12-year-old witness told investigators he saw a man offering his cousin P5 last Sunday, Rodaje said.

Since then, the victim has not been seen again, the witness said.

The victim’s body was discovered by children playing at the lot last Tuesday. His throat was cut, his stomach was hacked open and his intestines were spilling out. – Rhodina Villanueva
