QCPD launches 3-car patrol convoy

-

Some things come in threes and so do these police patrol cars in Quezon City.

Under a new program launched recently, police cars of the Quezon City Police District’s Mobile Patrol Unit are seen cruising the city’s streets in groups of three.

Superintendent Leslie Castillo, chief of the QCPD-MPU, called it the “chain link program” aimed as a “show of force” to scare off criminals on the streets.

Castillo said “patrol cars will be seen going around (the city) like a procession.” He said that through this, patrolling policemen will really see what is happening on the streets and immediately respond to any untoward incident.

“If the criminals see our policemen on the roads in these groups, they will think twice because they will feel that our policemen are in full force,” he said. – Reinir Padua
