Police arrested yesterday a 52-year-old tricycle driver after he allegedly molested an 18-year-old Chinese-Filipino boy in Binondo, Manila Sunday night.
The victim’s parents, who requested anonymity, told police their son pointed to Danilo Javier as the one who sexually molested him in a tricycle on a dimly lit street in Binondo.
Through gestures, the victim narrated that the suspect lured him into riding in his tricycle as he was walking alone in Binondo. The suspect then brought the victim to a side street, where the boy said he was molested.
When he arrived home the victim showed his parents his swollen genitals. “My son was in pain when he arrived. Though he cannot understand what was done to him, he complained of severe pain in his genitals,” the mother said.
Meisic police station chief Superintendent Nelson Yabut led his men in arresting Javier, who was identified by the victim. Yabut said the charge of rape against Javier could be aggravated by the victim being a “special child.” – Nestor Etolle
