'Caloocan, Rizal body parts were from one man'

Police said yesterday the five boxes of body parts found in Caloocan City and in Rodriguez, Rizal belonged to only one person.

“It’s a match,” Senior Inspector Ronald Perilla, Caloocan City police North Extension Office intelligence and investigation chief, told The STAR. “It’s confirmed, the boxed body parts found in our area and in Rodriguez, Rizal belonged to only one person.”

Perilla said he and his men were still doing legwork yesterday to identify the victim. He said they found a job application form in one of the boxes. The form bore a man’s name and address, including his character references and their addresses.

Two arms and a right leg, individually wrapped in blue plastic bags and sealed in two corrugated carton boxes, were found along Quirino Highway in Caloocan City at around 6:30 a.m. Saturday.

Two hours later, residents of Rodriguez, Rizal also found three boxes containing a man’s head, torso and left leg dumped a few meters away from each other along Don Mariano Marcos street extension. They were also individually wrapped in blue plastic bags and sealed inside corrugated carton boxes.

The victim was described as a fair-skinned man, aged between 39 and 42 years old, with a “semi-skinhead” haircut. – Pete Laude
