Fire razes furniture warehouse in Caloocan

-

A fire of still undetermined origin razed a furniture warehouse and printing firm in Caloocan City Monday afternoon.

Chief Inspector Ruel Jeremy Diaz, city fire marshal, identified the warehouse as the GFC Furniture and Printing Co. on F. Aguilar street in Bagong Barrio. The warehouse was owned by a GM Sandoval.

Diaz said there was no one reported killed or injured in the fire that started at 5:30 p.m. and raged for an hour. Four engines from the Bureau of Fire Protection and 15 firetrucks from volunteer brigades all over Metro Manila came to the firm’s rescue.

Firefighters prevented the blaze from spreading to nearby establishments and damage incurred was pegged at P200,000. – Jerry Botial
