Man shot dead in front of girlfriend

A 31-year-old man was gunned down in front of his girlfriend in their neighborhood in Quezon City Friday night.

Police said Neldo Fortuno, 31, was shot several times near his house on Samonte street in Villa Beatriz, Barangay Old Balara by an unidentified suspect at around 9:20 p.m.

Fortuno, who had a “Commando Gang” tattoo on his left shoulder, was declared dead on arrival at the General Malvar Hospital.

Investigators said the suspects drove a blue Toyota Revo to where Fortuno was sitting on a bench with his girlfriend. One suspect then shot the victim repeatedly.

The suspects drove off when Fortuno fell. Police said they will investigate further to identify the suspects and determine the motive for the killing. – Edu Punay
