Quezon City renames road to GMA-7 studios

Mayor Feliciano Belmonte Jr. signed into law an ordinance renaming a portion of 11th jamboree Street (from Timog Avenue to EDSA) as “GMA Drive” after television network GMA-7.

The measure, passed by the 26-member city council last Nov. 24, underscored the new state-of-the-art GMA studios’ significant role in the city government’s efforts to enhance the city’s landscape and promote the local tourism industry.

The newly–completed GMA building stands as the most prominent landmark along 11th Jamboree Street .   – Perseus Echeminada
