The chief of a police community precinct (PCP) in Las Piñas City was relieved from his post following the discovery of the missing pages in the precinct’s police blotter.
Superintendent Adolfo Samala, chief of the Southern Police District Investigation and Detective Management Division (DIDMD), said Senior Inspector Eduardo Bajado, station commander of PCP 9 in Talon Uno, is now the subject of an investigation after it was reported that a number of pages were torn from the precinct’s blotter.
The pages in question were about a takeover by the true owner of the Philippine Marine Merchant School. A court order was served last week to pave the way for the new school director to assume office.
Inspector Geoffrey Bacani of the DIDMD said they are trying to find out who owns an HK assault rifle, a 12-gauge shotgun and a .45 caliber pistol seen during the takeover.
“It is possible that those who tore off the said pages would want to hide evidence,” he said.
Bacani said they received information that the shotgun belongs to the ousted school director while the rifle is a property of the Muntinlupa police station.
“However, we are trying to find out if the said firearms are licensed and if they were returned already to the rightful owners, and why a gun of the Muntinlupa police was found inside the said school in the city,” Bacani said.
Bajado was relieved based on an order issued by Las Piñas police chief Senior Superintendent Amando Clifton Empiso.
