Armed man gatecrashes debutante's party twice

-

The police chased off a man armed with a .45 caliber gun who allegedly gatecrashed a debutante’s ball two times early yesterday.

Marlon Molina, 32, was brought to the Bernardino Hospital after he sustained a gunshot wound on one of his fingers.

Police Officer 1 Jun Castro of the Quezon City Police District (QCPD) Station 5 said Molina, whom he described as a “toughie” in the neighborhood, is facing criminal charges for grave threats, alarm and scandal and indiscriminate firing.

However, the police have yet to locate Molina’s gun that went missing after the suspect fell during the chase, Castro said.

Molina allegedly gatecrashed into 18th birthday party of Jesamine Mendi at the clubhouse of North Olympus Subdivision in Fairview.

Mendi said she did not personally know Molina and was shocked when the suspect showed up at her party already drunk and carrying a gun.

“He (Molina) just entered and showed off his gun,” Mendi told The STAR in an interview.

Since her father is also a policeman, Mendi and her family quickly managed to have Molina, who was already starting to create a scene, brought to the QCPD Station 5.

But while at the police station, Molina presented all the needed papers for his gun, prompting policemen to immediately release him, Castro told The STAR.

But just before 2 a.m., Molina drove a motorcycle to the clubhouse and displayed his gun outside, where some of Mendi’s friends were staying as the party had just ended.

At that time, policemen went to the site and chanced upon Molina scaring Mendi’s guests. The suspect ran off, prompting policemen to chase him.  – Reinir Padua
