1,000 indigent students get scholarships

-

At least 1,000 indigent students in Valenzuela City are the beneficiaries of Councilor and local Liga ng mga Barangay president Alvin Feliciano’s scholarships grants.

Apart from free education, scholars will also have a chance to work in the project’s partner companies after their graduation. These include Datamex, Global Reciprocal College, and the Splash Foundation, Feliciano said.

Mayor Sherwin Gatchalian and first district Rep. Rex Gatchalian are also supporting the scholarship project.

“The youths are the future of this country, and that’s what motivates me in pushing through with this project,” Feliciano said.

He started the scholarship project during his first term as chairman of Barangay Arkong Bato and he promised to continue with the project as education is one of his top priorities. – Pete Laude
