Fire guts garments factory in Parañaque

Some P15 million worth of property went up in smoke after a fire razed a garments factory in Parañaque City Sunday night.

Volunteer firefighter Carl Samarita suffered slight injuries in the fire.

Reports from the Parañaque Fire Department said the blaze burned down the Park Trade Center, a garments factory in Barangay san Martin de Pores.

The fire started at around 7:40 p.m. and was put out more than two hours later at 10:20 p.m. after reaching third alarm.

Arson probers have yet to determine the cause of the fire, which started at the second floor of the two-story building.   – Michael Punongbayan
