11 companies join Caloocan jobs fair

The second part of the 22nd Recom Mega Job Fair rolls of tomorrow, at the City Hall North in Zapote Road, Camarin, Mayor Enrico “Recom” Echiverri announced yesterday.

Drumming up the second phase of the 22nd Recom Mega Job Fair, Echiverri yesterday said an “innovative and efficient program matching prospective employees with employers” will be showcased in the event.

Echiverri said the program will facilitate the employment of an expected 3,000 applicants.

At least 11 big companies, lead by the SM Group, have affirmed participation in the second part of Caloocan City’s 22nd Recom mega job fair tomorrow.

Mayor Enrico Echiverri said the employment activity, spearheaded by the local Public Employment Service Office (PESO) and Labor and Industrial Relations Office, is expected to benefit some 3,000 jobseekers.

Monday’s graduates of Caloocan City Manpower Training Center’s vocational and technical courses will be given opportunity to take part in the activity. The mayor said the 11 participating companies are composed of SM Group, Watson’s, Mark and Spencer, Melawares, Isetann, Convergys, Silverworks, Phil. Standard Oil Corp., Sateland, Ace Hardware, and Avon.

“Unemployed and underemployed residents are urged to take part,” Echiverri said.

Jobseekers are advised to bring with them the necessary pre-employment requirements such as resume, ID pictures, transcript, diploma and clearances.
