Razon urges all cops to be 'marksmen'
Philippine National Police (PNP) chief Director General Avelino Razon Jr. called on all police officers yesterday to be “marksmen” and be proficient in using their firearms.
“This skill in handling firearms will not only make our people safe from harm and unlawful elements, but it will also ensure our own safety and that of our loved ones,” he said.
He also called on the country’s 125,000 police officers to “all aim high and be accurate in hitting our target in making this nation safe, peaceful and progressive.”
Razon was the guest of honor during the closing ceremony of the Mamang Pulis All-Glock Challenge held at the PNP firing range at Camp Crame.
“Let me emphasize that aside from creating camaraderie among participants and to exhibit your firearm proficiency, this event will also be helpful in raising funds for the benefits of all our (police officers) throughout the country,” he said.
