Man shot dead after heated row
A man was killed after being repeatedly shot by a gunman whom the former confronted for sideswiping him and his brother Saturday night in Quezon City. Reynaldo Queyangco, 30, was dead on arrival at the Novaliches General Hospital for the multiple gunshot wounds he sustained.
Police are still on a manhunt against the suspect, identified only as “Bonbon,” who fled the scene on board his motorcycle. A police report stated the incident happened at around 7:30 p.m. along San Ignacio Street, near corner Villareal Street in Barangay Gulod, Novaliches.
Case investigator SPO2 Jerry Abad said Queyangco was with his brother Rodel walking on the street when they were sideswiped by the suspect’s motorcycle as it turned right to Villareal Street.
The victim got irked and followed the motorcycle to confront the suspect. However, Queyangco was unaware that the suspect was armed with a handgun.
The suspect pulled out the weapon and shot Queyangco. The victim attempted to escape but the suspect chased him as he continuously fired the shots.
Moreover, another man was killed while his companion was injured after they were mauled and repeatedly stabbed by a group of 10 men outside a bar in Barangay Batasan Hills at 12 midnight yesterday.
Wilfredo Duca, 26, and Franco Lopez, 26, were both brought to the East Avenue Medical Center but only Lopez managed to survive the attack. Duca expired at around 2 a.m. while undergoing treatment.
Both victims sustained multiple stab wounds in the chest, according to case investigator PO2 Edwin Dela Cruz.
Duca and Lopez and two male companions had just come out of a bar on San Mateo Road when the incident happened. With still unknown motive, the armed suspects suddenly appeared and ganged up on and repeatedly stabbed Duca and Lopez. Their companions were able to escape the attack.
After the suspects had left, the two fallen victims were brought to the hospital for treatment.
