2 of 4 restaurant robbery suspects nabbed
Police officers arrested two of four suspects who robbed a fastfood joint and raped its female employee in Parañaque City recently.
Parañaque police chief Superintendent Ronald Estilles said one of those apprehended is a 16-year-old boy who allegedly led the heist. The other arrested suspect is Enrique Salameda, 23. Both are residents of Barangay BF Homes in Parañaque.
The two were arrested after the police received a tip that the boy and Salameda were seen near Salameda’s house Monday afternoon.
The boy and Salameda were two of the four suspects identified by witnesses as the ones who robbed the Goodah Restaurant along President’s Avenue in BF Homes early morning Sunday.
Police investigators said the suspects initially acted as customers, declared the heist, and ordered Goodah employee Romeo Arciga and the female cashier to proceed to the kitchen area at gunpoint.
Some of the suspects hogtied Arciga while one of their companion raped the cashier, who was pregnant. The robbers took with them the eatery’s P20,000 earnings.
The police said the four suspects were also involved in previous robberies in the city.
