Canadian falls prey to Salisi Gang

-

A Canadian preacher, who claims to have visions of God, failed to see the evil intent of a Salisi Gang member who took away her belongings inside the Malate Church in Ermita, Manila yesterday morning.

Rachelina Chiodo, 64, of Toronto, Canada told police she just arrived in the Philippines. After checking in at the Las Palmas Hotel in Ermita, Chiodo said God guided her to the nearby Malate Church to hear Mass.

While waiting for the Mass to start, she said a man sat beside her and started talking to her, which somehow distracted her.

She discovered later that the traveling bag she was carrying was already missing. Chiodo said her missing bag contained cash in different currencies, documents and her passport.  – Nestor Etolle
