Valenzuela dad seeks gas discount for government vehicles

Valenzuela City Councilor Alvin Feliciano is urging oil companies to give discounts to service vehicles of local government units, which are reeling from the weekly oil price increases.

Feliciano appealed to oil companies to also extend the discount they give public utility jeepneys to cover government vehicles such as ambulances and police and barangay patrol cars.

He said the savings from the gas discount could be used to finance more development projects for the people.

“I hope oil companies would give due consideration to our appeal and the national government would support the initiative because it is the public who would benefit from it,” Feliciano said.  – Pete Laude
