Cop shoots, hurts colleague in Marikina
Professional jealousy drove a
Eastern Police District director Chief Superintendent Leon Nilo de la Cruz vowed to conduct summary dismissal proceedings against Police Officer 3 Ferdinand Brubio, 39, who admitted shooting colleague SPO1 Ronaldo Milla, 31.
De la Cruz also directed Superintendent Sotero Ramos Jr.,
Milla sustained a gunshot wound in the right side of the body while another bullet hit his right hand, and exited to his shoulder and the slug landed in his right jaw.

Initial investigation showed that the shooting was triggered by jealousy in their accomplishment in the drive against drug pushers in
Brubio allegedly beat up Muyco when Milla and his companions brought him to their SAIDSOTF office.
Superintendent Carlito Briones, SAIDSOTF chief reprimanded Brubio for hurting Muyco which infuriated the cop.
Thinking that it was Milla who reported the incident to Briones, Brubio went out to the lobby to confront the surprised Milla.
According to Brubio, he shot Milla after the latter shouted invectives at him. However, when interviewed in his hospital bed, Milla said he didn’t know why Brubio shot him.
Brubio surrendered to fellow cops right after the shooting. He, too, turned over the fatal weapon, a 9mm caliber automatic pistol.
Elements of the Scene of the Crime Operatives recovered two spent shells from a 9mm caliber pistol in the site of the incident.
Brubio joined other inmates at the detention center of the local police.
