Operatives of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) arrested a leader of a dreaded syndicate exporting shabu to Malaysia during a raid in San Juan yesterday morning.
Arrested was Sadjari Amiril, alias Salip, of No. 105 Lake st., Barangay Balon Bato, San Juan. He was allegedly the leader of the notorious Sakidal Group based in Jolo, Sulu that exports shabu to Malaysia.
The PDEA said Amiril was also included in the PDEA Target List on local groups and No. 1 target of PDEA in Western Mindanao .
PDEA chief Dionisio Santiago said the arrest took place at around 5:30 a.m. by joint elements of the different units of PDEA, who were armed with search warrant issued by Quezon City Judge Thelma Ponferrada.
Agents recovered a kilo of dangerous drugs, several transparent plastic sachets in repacking shabu, and a vehicle used in their illegal drug trade.
Intelligence agents gathered that Amiril’s source of drugs was a certain Eugene Chua.
