Woman foils drive-by snatcher

-

A woman managed to hang on to her bag when a man driving a Tamaraw FX (license plate UDO or UDU-873) grabbed her bag yesterday morning.

Mary Ann Borne, 22, was about to go home to Meycauayan, Bulacan when the incident happened at around 6 a.m. along Xavierville Avenue in Barangay Loyola Heights.

Borne sustained bruises on her shoulders and arms after she was dragged a few meters by the suspect, said Superintendent Oscar Palisoc, commander of the Quezon City Police District-Station 9.

But since Borne held on to her bag, the suspect eventually let go, leaving behind the victim on the road, Palisoc said. – Reinir Padua
