Marikina enforces house numbering

-

The city government of Marikina has conducted a house numbering campaign to give permanent numbers for residential houses, business establishments and vacant lots.

Engineer Liza Palomar, head of the city’s planning and development office, said “there are houses that have no numbers while others use more than one. We also have cases of several lots using only one number,” making it difficult for emergency personnel and rescue teams to locate those who sought assistance.

She said they are conducting a house-to-house survey that focuses on getting the land owner’s name, current number of the house or establishment, street or alley name, barangay, and whether the land is leased or owned by those occupying it.

Palomar said they plan to finish the survey by September. – Non Alquitran
