Tiñga offers job to dad of half-blind girl

-

The Taguig City government has hired the father of a three-year-old girl who was left half-blind by a man who attacked her and plucked out her left eye two weeks ago.

Mayor Sigfrido Tiñga met with Anthony Diaz, father of Kryzzy Anne, to personally express his concern and extend all the support that the city government can provide to his family.

Upon learning that Diaz is currently jobless, Tiñga hired him to be a food attendant at the Taguig District Hospital. Diaz is set to report for work next week.

“I know how hard this is for Anthony because I am a father myself. I feel his pain,” Tiñga said.

Upon learning of the incident, Tiñga ordered the city’s social welfare office to shoulder Kryzzy Anne’s medical expenses and provide post-trauma counseling.

Diaz used to work as a contractual surveyor for a surveying firm. Only days after the attack, the project he was working on was completed and he was jobless again.

The city government has also given Kryzzy Anne a scholarship grant for her pre-school education. – Rhodina Villanueva
